Guest artist renditions for MoMMA

I have to once again thank these awesome artists for contributing their own renditions of the many characters from Monsters of MMA. Clockwise from top left is David Jablow's rendition of Cyborg Santos, Doug Slack's rendition of Stank Abbott, Chris Trefz's rendition of Anderson Arachnid, and Jim Laplante's rendition of Kimbo Spliced (looking very studious by the way). More guest art to come!

Savage Dragon #151 Pinup

At the request of some folks, here's a pin up that I did for the coolest freaking comic in existence, Savage Dragon. This was a little while back in issue #151 and though I was massively psyched that Erik allowed me to do something for that issue I still would love to do a backup story sometime about Double Header. Anyone who happens to not know Erik Larsen or the comic Savage Dragon needs to get out there and buy some of his comics - the guy is seriously an artistic genius with a work ethic that makes other guys like myself want to crawl into a hole and die.

Baltimore Comic Con is this weekend and I am very excited for it. Not only will I have copies of First Fight #1 and #2 but I will also be showing a preview of my new web comic, Monsters of MMA, that will be starting September 1st. I'll be posting the entire first issue by showing 1 page a week and I think that MMA fans will really like what they see.

Baltmore Comic Con

I had a very good time this last weekend at the Baltmore Comic Con. I was selling copies of my comic, First Fight as well as debuting my new series Monsters of MMA which is a series of portraits of well known Mixed Martial Artists with a Halloween theme to it. I was doing sketches the whole time I was there and never reaized how much people want to see monster versions of their favorite characters - Zombie Jabba the Hut? Zombie Indiana Jones? Zombie Link from Zelda? Zombie King Hippo?? I'm not gonna complain - but once you start drawings monsters it's always hard to stop.
